Abstract

This study explores recent advances in organic synthesis focused on new strategies for the construction of complex molecules, emphasizing catalytic C–H functionalization, organocatalytic stereoselective transformations, and multicomponent one‑pot cascades. The research demonstrates that these modern approaches significantly improve synthetic efficiency, reduce step‑count, and increase overall yields compared with classical stoichiometric routes. Catalytic C–H activation and cross‑coupling enable late‑stage diversification of complex scaffolds, while organocatalytic methods deliver high enantioselectivity and diastereoselectivity under mild, often green‑solvent‑based conditions. Multicomponent and domino sequences further streamline synthesis by combining multiple bond‑forming steps into single operations. The work also highlights the environmental and economic benefits of these strategies, including reduced waste, lower E‑factors, and improved scalability. The findings underscore the potential of advanced synthetic methodologies to facilitate the efficient, sustainable, and stereochemically controlled construction of complex organic architectures relevant to pharmaceutical and materials science.
