Burnout among healthcare workers has been a significant concern for many years, affecting employee wellbeing as well as patient care quality. This research seeks to examine the impact of Perceived Organizational Support on Burnout Levels among healthcare professionals. By drawing upon the Job Demands-Resources (JDR) Model, the aim is to explore how organizational support systems and workplace dynamics influence burnout within the healthcare sector of Karachi, Pakistan. It further examines the differences in burnout levels as well as perceived organizational support across Job roles (doctors, nurses, allied healthcare workers), Hospital types (public vs private) and gender. Data was collected from 222 healthcare workers from public and private hospitals of Karachi using standardized measures (Oldenburg Burnout Inventory and Survey of Perceived Organizational Support). Findings derived from this study assist in exploring the complexities of organizational support and burnout, to better understand the overall well-being of healthcare workers.
