This study investigated the impact of research attitude and anxiety on the academic achievement of sport sciences students. The objectives were to assess anxiety levels, research attitudes, and academic achievement; to examine the relationships among these variables; and to find out the effects of anxiety and research attitude on academic performance of students at university level. A cross-sectional survey design was employed, with data collected from male and female students enrolled in research programs at public and private universities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The adapted Attitude Towards Research (ATR) scale was used for data collection. Inferential and Descriptive statistical analyses revealed a negative correlation between research attitude and academic achievement, as well as between anxiety levels and academic performance. Furthermore, the results indicated that both research attitude and anxiety levels adversely affect academic achievement. These findings underscore the importance of addressing research-related attitudes and anxiety to promote student performance.
