Abstract

Dementia is a debilitating condition characterized by a progressive decline in memory and cognitive functions, primarily affecting individuals aged 60 and above. Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), the most common degenerative form of dementia, specifically impairs memory and critical mental abilities due to the degeneration of brain cells and neural connections [1]. Currently, there is no cure for AD, and life expectancy post-diagnosis ranges from four to eight years, though some may survive up to two decades depending on various factors. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 50 million people worldwide suffer from dementia, with nearly 10 million new AD cases reported annually.
