Abstract

This study conceptualizes stylistic bricolage as an integrative theoretical framework for literary and linguistic analysis by synthesizing insights from structuralism, post structuralism, semiotics, and sociolinguistics. Using a qualitative conceptual design, the study critically examines foundational theories of Saussure, Derrida, Barthes, Bakhtin, Halliday, and others to construct a multi-layered model of meaning-making. The analysis demonstrates that stylistic bricolage operates simultaneously as a structural recombination of linguistic resources, a site of interpretive instability, a semiotic expansion into cultural and ideological domains, and a socially grounded communicative practice. Findings reveal that no single theoretical tradition adequately explains the complexity of contemporary texts, particularly hybrid, multilingual, and multimodal discourses shaped by globalization and digital communication. Instead, the study argues for a complementary relationship among these traditions: structuralism provides the system of relations, post structuralism introduces multiplicity and reinterpretation, semiotics expands meaning across sign systems, and sociolinguistics situates style within social interaction and identity construction. The study concludes that stylistic bricolage offers a coherent and flexible analytical model capable of addressing the limitations of isolated theoretical approaches while enhancing the analysis of contemporary literary and linguistic texts.
